At the UN General Assembly, the President said AI will be officially called "Super Intelligence"
The White House release quotes the speech: "The United States totally rejects any attempt to construct a globalist scheme of control for the Artificial Intelligence being spoken of so much now — hereinafter officially called 'Super Intelligence.'" This was a statement in a speech. We found no executive order, proclamation or Federal Register document that renames AI (re-checked 24 Sep 17:25 UTC: Federal Register full text has 0 documents with "superintelligence" or "super intelligence" since 20 Sep; the newest executive orders, 14429–14431 of 22–23 Sep, are not about AI).

Members of Congress announced a "Ban Artificial Superintelligence Act"
A Senate press release announced forthcoming legislation that would ban the development and deployment of superintelligent AI and pause advanced AI development until a federal regulator sets safety rules. AP reported on 2026-09-23 that the bill was unveiled. We have not yet confirmed a bill number on congress.gov (re-checked 24 Sep 17:28 UTC: not among the 250 most recently updated House bills, updated through 22 Sep; the Senate list could not be read because the public congress.gov API key was rate-limited; congress.gov titles often lag introduction by several days).
